Come and Play for Under 8's Day at Pacific Paradise State School
Each year, Early Childhood Australia presents Under 8's Week, a celebration of children eight years and under.
This year the theme is… 'Connecting to Culture through Play'
Pacific Paradise State School P&C, Paradise Playgroup, Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 are planning a very special Under 8's Day at Pacific Paradise State School.
We are also inviting all our local Early Childhood Education Centres to be part of our celebrations.
WHERE: Prep classrooms and Prep and Year 1 playground areas at Pacific Paradise State School. Please meet us in the big grassy area adjoining the Prep / Year 1 undercover area.
WHO: All local children under 8 and their families, current Playgroup Members, Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students and their families. Our local kindergartens and childcare centres will also be invited.
WHAT TO WEAR: Free dress – Please ensure that clothing is suitable for playing. Some activities will involve paint, glitter and glue, which can be quite messy! We also need to remember that our clothing needs to be sun safe and closed in shoes are compulsory.
SUPERVISION: As the teachers will be running the activities throughout the day, we ask that each child is accompanied by an adult. If you are unable to provide supervision for your child, please let your child's teacher know and we will arrange for them to be part of another group.
FRUIT BREAK AND LUNCH: Your child may bring fruit for a mid-morning snack. Eating times will be determined by their supervising adult.
The Maroochy North Shore Lions Club will operate a BBQ through the day. There will also be a range of hot and cold food available to purchase (cash only sales). A coffee van and a cake stall will also feature in our food and picnic area. Alternatively, your child can bring along a packed lunch.
We encourage adults to bring along a picnic blanket to sit on.
CONCLUSION: Activities will conclude at midday.
(P.S. Don't forget to bring a bag to carry the goodies that you create.)
We look forward to celebrating a very special day with you and our wider school community.
