Pacific Paradise State School was opened in 1991. Our founding Principal, Peter Butterworth, established the school with the motto Knowledge, Friendship and Respect.
The school is situated on 10.59 hectares of land bordered by Menzies Drive and Sunshine Coast Motorway. The school is surrounded by native bushland on two sides. The founding Principal embedded sustainable practices into the school culture at that time and these practices have been built on and enhanced since 1991. The school gained level 5 cleaner, greener schools rating in 2013 by Keep Australia Beautiful Council.
The facilities and grounds have been developed to support the curriculum and include many open learning spaces for students.
We have three large playground equipment areas, two multi-purpose courts, a large oval and football field, a refurbished resource centre and a very impressive hall with stage, kitchen, sports floor, conference room and green room. The hall has state of the art audio and visual facilities for music and drama events.
The classrooms and outdoor learning areas are well maintained. Parent parking is available outside the school grounds with supervised crossing over Menzies Drive.
The school tuckshop, uniform shop and outside school hours care are operated by the Parents and Citizens Association.
