Swimming Carnival

Activity Details:

Inter-house Swimming Carnival.

Thursday March 24, 2022

Swim Fit Coolum Aquatic Centre.

 

Children in Years 3 to 6 will participate in this carnival as long as their 

behaviour support level is acceptable.

 

What to Bring:

•         togs and towel

•         bag to carry wet garments

•         hat, sunscreen, shorts  and school sport shirt

•         lunch and drinks

 

The canteen will be open on the day but only drinks will be available.

 

Children will have the opportunity to swim in the strokes of Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly in either a 25 metre or 50 metre race. Children can only swim in 50m or 25m events for each stroke not both distances.

 

Please note that age champions will only be selected from the times swum in the 50-metre heats.


IF YOUR ONLINE PERMISSION HAS NOT BEEN SUBMITTED AND YOUR PAYMENT 

HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED BY THE DUE DATE LISTED ABOVE, YOUR CHILD WILL 

BE UNABLE TO LEAVE SCHOOL TO TRAVEL BY BUS TO ATTEND THE 

SWIM CARNIVAL.

Activity Costs:

Payment of $15.50 will need to be paid prior to the swimming carnival. Payment can be made online with QParents or BPoint. 

 

Please complete the online permission, see link or scan code below, by Friday March 18 for your child leave school, travel by bus and swim in the carnival.

 

Coolum Pool has advised that there is a $2.00 spectator fee that is charged for all people attending the Carnival as a non-participant and valid for school swimming carnival ONLY.  To be paid by spectators on entry to carnival.

Transport Details:

The children will travel by bus to the pool at 8.50am and return by 2:30pm.  All children must travel by bus to the pool to take advantage of the discounted pool entry.
