Pacific Paradise Resource Centre
The Pacific Paradise State School Resource Centre is a focal point in our school for reading, researching and Information & Communication Technologies (ICTs).
It provides students, teachers and parents with computerised and a well-resourced collection of fiction, non-fiction printed texts and media resources. Visual Arts/Health lessons take place in our Resource hub.
Leading learners to develop a love of reading and to appreciate quality literature is one of the primary aims in the Resource Centre.
We want children to become life-long learners, so teaching them how to access and present information using traditional methods and through ICTs is a high priority.
Our Resource Centre is open daily from 8:15 am to 3:15 pm and during first and second break.
Borrowing
Students visit the Library once every week as a class group to borrow, but are free to visit other times. We encourage all students to have a library bag especially the little ones in order to keep the books safe and our collection well maintained.

Prep to Year 1 students – 1 book.
Year 2 & 3 students – 2 books (1 fiction and 1 Non-fiction).
Year 5 to 6 students – 3 books.
Items are loaned for 2 weeks but can be renewed when needed. After 2 weeks the book is considered overdue.
