Student Resource Scheme

A critical element of providing the very best programs we can for our students at Pacific Paradise State School relates to our Student Resource Scheme. The Student Resource Scheme (SRS) is a service provided by the school to assist parents with a cost effective and easier alternative to purchasing textbooks, resources, consumables and/or materials from elsewhere, through reduced prices gained from the school’s bulk purchasing abilities.  The SRS also covers licences for digital apps and platforms, and the use of school purchased equipment for all class activities.

The SRS provides a convenient and good value option for participants and ensures students have access to the same standard and quantity of resources throughout the school year, including personal stationery. The mix of resources that are purchased on your behalf does vary from year level to year level in the school depending on the particular needs of those year levels.

We appreciate that the costs of schooling your children are significant, even in a heavily subsidized state system. For this reason we try to keep the cost of the SRS scheme to a minimum on the basis that if everyone in our school community contributes, we are able to offer exceptional value for money considering the additional learning opportunities these resources provide.

STUDENT RESOURCE SCHEME 2026
For the 2026 school year, a Student Resource Scheme will be run in conjunction with Book Packs at Pacific Paradise.

SRS Annual Parent Information letter

For your child to participate, you must register for QParents and a request to complete the SRS Participation Agreement will be sent via the Qparents app.

A Student Resource Scheme (SRS) is an optional service provided by the school to offer a cost-effective alternative to purchasing textbooks, resources, consumables and/or materials individually. It ensures that all participating students have access to the same standard of resources, enhancing their engagement with the curriculum.

The SRS works on the basis of bulk purchasing and hiring of resources across multiple years. In return for payment of the participation fee, the SRS provides a comprehensive package to students who participate.

The SRS participation for 2026 is a $60 flat fee for all students at the school. Several payment options including a single payment for the full year’s fee or term instalments are available.  An instalment plan can also be negotiated with the schoo by contacting the Admin Office.

Parents/carers who opt OUT of the SRS should complete the online Participation Agreement via QParents to indicate their decision as DECLINE. They are then responsible for providing the required resources for their child throughout the year, based on the detailed lists provided on the left.

BOOK PACKS

Families are required to provide book packs for students from the Year Level Book Packs attached below:

Prep Bookpack

Year 1 Bookpack

Year 2 Bookpack

Year 3 Bookpack

Year 4 Bookpack

Year 5 Bookpack

Year 6 Bookpack

Our team has carefully selected the items on the booklists to match the developmental needs of each year level and to support an engaging curriculum.

We ask that all items be purchased as specified to ensure consistency and readiness in the classroom. Please avoid substituting cheap brands from dollar stores as many of these cheaper versions of products do not have the durability that is required throughout the year. Your co-operation with this is greatly appreciated.

Book packs can be ordered online using the details below and will be delivered to your home. Alternatively, you can purchase the listed items separately yourself from any retailer.

You will be able to bring your book packs into school on the Student Free Day on Friday 23rd January 2026. Further information will be emailed to families regarding exact times for drop off. If you are unable to drop book packs to school on the student free day, they can be brought to school on the first day on Term 1.

In preparation for the new school year, it suggested that you label students items.

  1. For students in Years 1-6, please make sure that all items are clearly labelled with student names.
  2. For students in Prep, only the books and folders should be clearly labelled with student names please. Items such as scissors, glue, pencils, markers, crayons, paints etc. will be kept in shared central containers, so there is no need to label these smaller items.

Every school day is an opportunity for students to grow as curious, creative, and capable learners, so it’s essential all booklist items are named and brought to school on the first day, ready to go.
