Student Resource Scheme

A critical element of providing the very best programs we can for our students at Pacific Paradise State School relates to our Student Resource Scheme. The Student Resource Scheme (SRS) is a service provided by the school to assist parents with a cost effective and easier alternative to purchasing textbooks, resources, consumables and/or materials from elsewhere, through reduced prices gained from the school’s bulk purchasing abilities.  The SRS also covers licences for digital apps and platforms, and the use of school purchased equipment for all class activities.

The SRS provides a convenient and good value option for participants and ensures students have access to the same standard and quantity of resources throughout the school year, including personal stationery. The mix of resources that are purchased on your behalf does vary from year level to year level in the school depending on the particular needs of those year levels.

We appreciate that the costs of schooling your children are significant, even in a heavily subsidized state system. For this reason we try to keep the cost of the SRS scheme to a minimum on the basis that if everyone in our school community contributes, we are able to offer exceptional value for money considering the additional learning opportunities these resources provide.

Parents will need to provide these resources themselves if they choose not to participate in the SRS.

The SRS fee is due to be paid by 16th January, 2023 to enable your child to have their resources on the first day of school. We understand that not everyone is in a position to pay the full SRS scheme in a single payment, alternatively term instalments are available with one third of the total payment due before this date.

SRS payments can be made by via QParents, BPOINT or Centrepay.

•             Payment may be made through the QParents portal using a credit card. Payment will be directed from the QParents portal to BPOINT where relevant outstanding invoice information may be selected.

•             When paying by BPOINT, please use the Customer Reference Number (CRN) and invoice number printed on the invoice received from the school. If unsure of the CRN, please contact the school.

•             Centrepay Deductions are available to pay the SRS fees. Use Centrepay to make regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. Centrepay is a voluntary and easy payment option available to Centrelink customers. Go to humanservices.gov.au/centrepay for more information on how to set up your deductions.

Thank you in anticipation.
