Students who enrol at Pacific Paradise State School and speak a language other than English are supported through the Regional EAL (English as an Additional Language) program. This means we have a visiting specialist EAL teacher who assesses the student's English language abilities and provides an individual program designed to build and enhance their English language skills. Non-English speaking students are able to access these specialist lessons during their first 3 years at Pacific Paradise. furthermore students who are in Years 4 to 6 and have newly arrived in Australia are eligible to attend the Intensive English Class for 3 full days each week. This class meets off campus and has its own specialist EAL teacher who provides instruction for older students who have limited English. Pacific Paradise State School currently has a number of newly arrived students from other countries who are thriving in the supportive environment provided at the school.
