PTO FOR FAQ's
Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some FAQ's relating to your Run for Fun Event:
What should my child wear to the event?
Students have permission to wear white clothing for the event. Clothing must be sun safe and something that children are able to run around in. White adds to the effect of the colour powder. Please ensure that older students where a crop top underneath white shirt.
What should my child bring to the event?
A few things you should pack are:
- A water bottle
- An old hat if you do not wish to get colour on your school hat
- Sunglasses – these will be given to each student on the day of the event by classroom teacher
- Spare shoes if you do not wish to have colour on school shoes
- Old towel to clean up before getting in the car or bus.
What if my child has a medical condition? (e.g., Asthma etc.)
For asthmatic children, ensure they have their Ventolin/Asmol and Spacer on them or with a responsible person.
There will be a first aid tent on the oval in proximity to the event.
As this is a running event, please notify the teachers on the day of any relevant medical conditions and any potential treatments they may need to know.
If you would like to know what is in the colour, ask the school for a copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet.
What if my child does not wish to join in the fun run?
Students are not required to participate, they will able to watch their fellow students run from a supervised area. They will still be able to join their class for an icy pole.
Can I take my child home early?
If you wish to take your child home you must inform their classroom teacher and sign out at the First Aid tent.
Thank you, good luck and happy fundraising!
