Pacific Paradise State School’s attendance policy aims to promote a universal commitment to full attendance for every student.

School community beliefs about the importance of attending school
It is important that students, staff and parents/carers have a shared understanding of the importance of attending school. Pacific Paradise State School is committed to promoting the key messages of Every Day Counts.
·         Pacific Paradise State School believes all children should be enrolled at school and attend school all day, every school day
·         Pacific Paradise State School monitors, communicates and implements strategies to improve regular school attendance
·         Pacific Paradise State School believes truanting can place a student in unsafe situations and impact on their future employability and life choices.
·         Pacific Paradise State School believes attendance at school is the responsibility the whole community.

Reporting and monitoring attendance

At Pacific Paradise State School reports of absence or truanting are taken seriously. Students, parents, members of community and school staff may report an absence in the following ways:

  •          Student absence line: 54572333 – Option 5 
  •          Parents are notified of an unexplained absence of their child as soon    as practicable on the day of the student’s absence using SMS communication 
  •         Use QParents app to notify the school  
  •          Call into the Administration Office and let our friendly staff know
