Worlds Greatest Shave Ms Beck and Mr Dowdell

You're invited: Watch Ms Beck and Mr Dowdell have their hair shaved off live on stage! Monday 29th April @ 2pm. Whole School Parade @ School Hall.

0n New Year’s Eve 2015 my little niece Elki was diagnosed with Leukaemia at age 3. She thankfully is now in remission but I have seen first hand over the last 4 years the trauma and struggle this horrible disease has caused for my niece’s family.

The silver lining on this terrible storm cloud is the assistance and support the Leukaemia Foundation offered my niece and her family during the trials of countless lumber punctures, blood tests and chemo treatments. During this whole process the help I could offer was limited... but the Worlds Greatest Shave is one small thing I can do to advocate for and support the wonderful work the Leukaemia Foundation does for other families like mine.

I'm taking part in the World's Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation! I'm on a mission to shave the world from blood cancer.

Please sponsor me to give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need. You'll also fund vital research to help more people survive blood cancers, while improving their quality of life.

Every day another 35 Australians are diagnosed with a blood cancer. That's one Aussie every 41 minutes. Although research is improving survival, sadly an Australian loses their life to blood cancer every two hours.
