This week approximately 40 students from Years 4-7 nominated to participate in a weekly lunch time Opti-Club chal-lenge. These students completed a nomination form in which they wrote about their interests, talents, personality types and ability to work cooperatively. I was extremely proud of the high quality of the student nominations. Stu-dents clearly articulated their skills, abilities and talents and I can already see that it will be a difficult task to choose three teams to go forward as our school representatives for this year’s Opti-Minds regional challenge. The lunchtime Opti-Club mini challenges will commence this Friday morning. In Opti-Club, Mr Fritz and I will work with students on team building, cooperation and problem solving mini-challenges. Congratulations to all the students who have ex-pressed an interest in working with others to be the best that they can be as learners and as team members.
