Opti-Minds Challenge

Pacific Paradise State School has registered to participate in the Opti-Minds challenge again this year. We performed
extremely well last year, with two wins for the science engineering team. This was the second time we participated
in the challenge and we were extremely proud of our excellent results.
Opti-Minds is a national challenge that is designed to promote lateral creative thinking, problem solving, group work
and cooperation.
From Tuesday May 19 students from years 4-7 will have the opportunity to nominate to join in a weekly lunch time
Opti-Club challenge. These students will be asked to complete a nomination form and agree to attend weekly challenges.
During these lunchtime Opti-club mini challenges, we will work with groups of interested and enthusiastic
students on team building, cooperation and problem solving challenges and Opti-Minds representatives for Pacific
Paradise will be chosen from the Opti-club participants at the end of this term. Please see Mr Fritz, Mrs Findlay or
Mrs Williams for more information.
